The Challenge

As the SaaS platform scaled, cloud infrastructure costs began rising faster than revenue. The application relied on always on compute sized for peak load, despite highly variable usage patterns. A tightly coupled module ran continuously, causing idle resource waste during off peak hours and performance issues during traffic spikes. This led to unpredictable cloud bills and limited scalability.
